1 pound spaghetti noodles (adjust quantity as needed)
6-8 garlic cloves, minced (adjust to taste)
1/4 cup butter
Olive oil (a few drizzles)
Italian seasoning
Fresh ground pepper
Red pepper flakes
Salt
Herbs (customize based on your preference)
Instructions:
Boil the pasta: Start by boiling the spaghetti noodles in water until they’re tender. While boiling, you can add a bit of oil, salt, and fresh herbs to enhance the pasta’s flavor. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside. Remember to save about 1 cup of pasta water for later use.
Prepare the shrimp: While the pasta is boiling, take the time to wash the shrimp.
Sauté the shrimp: In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the shrimp to the pan. Cook them until they turn slightly pink and start to curl.
Add the garlic: Once the shrimp are partially cooked, introduce the minced garlic. Continue to cook for 5-7 minutes, and then add a drizzle of olive oil. Keep stirring until the shrimp are fully pink and curled.
Combine the pasta and seasonings: Incorporate the boiled pasta into the skillet with the shrimp and garlic. Add your preferred seasonings, such as Italian seasoning, fresh ground pepper, red pepper flakes, and a pinch of salt.
Adjust the consistency: To achieve the desired consistency and flavor, add just enough of the saved pasta water. Start with about 1/4 of it and adjust as needed. The goal is to have a moist dish without it being too watery.
Toss and heat: Keep tossing all the ingredients in the skillet until they are well mixed and heated through.
